Carlos Thays Botanical Garden, Buenos Aires

Back in January, Jonathan and I stopped in Buenos Aires for a few days on our way to  Patagonia. Here are a few shots from our afternoon at the Carlos Thays Botanical Garden.

Carlos Thays was a well known Landscape Architect in South America at the turn of the century. I vaguely remember his name being mentioned in landscape history classes in grad school. I love his title – he was called “Director of Parks & Walkways”.
